The Association functions through the participation of its constituents and is made better when more members engage.

Annual Meeting

This committee is tasked with creating and managing continuity in annual meeting planning, organizing, and budgeting. Members collaborate with convener/host of future meetings to pass along information and provide guidance through the difficult planning process.

Helps to select recipients of the William W. Amaral Legacy Award, AMMP Service Award, Russ McCarty Student Travel Award, and other awards as they are developed. Also engages in fundraising for monetary awards. Awards are presented at the Annual Meeting of the AMMP.

Maintains the AMMP website. Manages changing information, posts new items, and keeps Annual Meeting information up-to-date. Also manages and posts AMMP news and information on social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).

Helps to select qualified candidates to fill required positions in the leadership of the organization.  Organizes and manages the call for candidate nominations. This important committee will aid in developing the future direction of the association through its leadership.

Health and Safety

Works with the Abstracts and Workshops Subcommittees to review abstract submissions and workshop proposals to ensure proper health and safety techniques are mentioned. Also reviews submitted recordings to ensure proper health and safety techniques are shown.

Works with Secretary to maintain detailed records of membership. Publishes member directory, recruits and encourages new membership in the organization. Serves an important role in developing and growing the membership of the AMMP.

Maintains resource display for meetings and lists of archival materials and suggested suppliers. Explores the archival characteristics and material properties of new materials. Posts or publishes this information so that it is accessible to members.

Works to develop training methods and pathways to share knowledge of techniques, standards and use of materials. Manages videos available on AMMP YouTube channel.
