Hemet is nestled near the San Jacinto Mountains and the vacation town of Idyllwild. It is approximately 1.5 hours East of Los Angeles and 1.5 hours North of San Diego. Hemet was incorporated in 1910 and is currently home to 94,000 people. Hemet’s closest neighbor is the City of San Jacinto which has a population of 56,000 people for a total of 150,000 residents in the valley. Hemet has most major restaurant chains as well as a diverse collection of eateries, including sushi and many excellent taco shops. There is a Historic Hemet Theater as well as a Hemet Train Station Museum. Hemet is also home to the Romana Bowl which hosts the longest running outdoor play in the nation (over 100 years).

This airport also boasts most major airlines and rental car companies. Neither airport offers shuttles to hotels in the Hemet area. LAX and San Diego Airports are approximately a 1.5-hour drive depending on traffic.
