Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at 206.634.2000 between the hours of 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. PT Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. PT on Saturday and Sunday. Make sure you indicate that you are part of the "ASSOCIATION OF MATERIALS AND METHODS IN PALEONTOLOGY" to receive the group rate of $129/night (does not include breakfast, but does include internet).
The host hotel is located just one block from the U District Station and two blocks from the Burke Museum and University of Washington campus, offering a convenient location and amenities to make your stay comfortable.
By Air:
The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is located 18.4 miles from the host hotel. Thirty-one airlines serve 91 non-stop domestic and 28 international destinations.

AMMP will not be providing transportation services to or from the airports.
Public Transportation:
Link light rail is best way to fly past traffic! Link travels 20 hours a day, 7 days a week and run every 8, 10 or 15 minutes depending on the time of day. Service is available from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Saturday and from 6 a.m. to midnight on Sunday and holidays.
To ride Link, use the Orca ticket machines at the airport or U District Station to purchase single tickets with cash or card. Check the Sound Transit website for fare information.
By Car:
Seattle is located off I-5. Use Exit 169 toward NE 45th Street to get to the host hotel.
Burke Museum: The Museum is part of University of Washington and is located on campus, two blocks from the host hotel. Exhibit galleries and collections are located in the same building and both focus on the natural and cultural history of the surrounding area. Various events throughout the conference will take place at the Museum.
Downtown Seattle: There are a number of restaurants, theaters, and other attractions near the host hotel, but downtown Seattle is located just down I-5. This area includes popular site seeing destinations like the Seattle Art Museum, Pike Place Market, Space Needle, and Chihuly Garden and Glass, just to name a few.
Parks and Nature: Mount Rainier National Park, North Cascades National Park, and Olympic National Park are just a couple hours drive from Seattle and make great day trips. There are many beautiful lakes and parks for hiking or just enjoying nature, including Discovery Park, Alki Beach Park, and Gas Works Park.
